My new Resolve...

"Living IN THE MOMENT
Brings you a sense of Reverence
For all of Life's Blessings. "

This is one of my recent favorite quotes...I didn't create it, I read it in a publication...but I really agree with it and am trying to adopt it into my daily life.

Now...I know that it isnt the best to live each day as if that is all there is left...I dont necessarily agree with that...but I think there is a distinct difference between that and striving to be truly "present" in each moment you are in. I know myself personally I am, it seems forever stuck in my head either way ahead in the future...thinking about tomorrows problems, potential issues, or stresses, or worrying about the past..what "could have been", or what "should have been different". All the while completely missing out on that current moment which I can no longer get back. I really do see this as a diservice to those I am with and certainly to myself.

SO....I am going to each day make it my goal to stay present in each moment...

To really pay close attention and enjoy the small things, each blessing and challenge that every individual moment might bring me. ..I know ...it sounds Like ALOT of work! But I kind of figure it can't be too much "busier" than what I got going on in my head of distraction all the time now! :)

I just really hate to wake up one day and realize that I spent most of my life and the time with the ones I love always being so busy looking BEHIND me or WAY AHEAD of me that I totally miss out on the opportunity to see what is exactly right NEXT to me.

From moment to moment every moment that I live ...I live for every moment with you.
To see you, to touch you, to imagine this will be
The moment when a dream comes true
Just an ordinary day becomes adventure
Such sweet adventure I never knew
And life will be rainbows as I learn the secret of
The miracle that love can do
From moment to moment with you

I completely agree with you! I am always telling myself this. Live in the moment and enjoy it because we do not know what tomorrow will bring. And like Scott says, it'll all be over before we know it and then the regret will set in. Thanks for this post...very encouraging!!
